Under the CASH FOR CAROLINA CLUNKERS program, consumers will get paid up to $4,500 more than the appraised value of their current vehicle to put towards any nicer, newer vehicle from a participating car dealer when they trade in their old vehicle and purchase a nicer, newer qualifying vehicle.Any drivable vehicle is eligible regardless of the age, mileage or condition. Both domestic and imported vehicles are eligible for the program. Transactions must be made between July 1, 2020 and until the program ends. This is a limited-time sale promotion.

The CASH FOR CAROLINA CLUNKERS program is a privately funded program that helps consumers buy a nicer, newer vehicle from a participating dealer when they trade in a clunker car, truck, van or SUV.
The success of this program will energize the economy, boost auto sales and save consumers money.
Eligibility
Any drivable vehicle is eligible regardless of the age, mileage or condition. Both domestic and imported vehicles are eligible for the program. Transactions must be made between July 1, 2020 and until the program ends. This is a limited-time sale promotion.
How it Works
Consumers will get paid up to $4,500 more than the appraised value of their current vehicle is worth towards any nicer, newer vehicle from a participating car dealer when they trade in their old vehicle and purchase a nicer, newer qualifying vehicle.The dealers are not reimbursed by any government program or taxpayer-supported program. The vehicles traded in under the CASH FOR CAROLINA CLUNKERS program will be disposed of at the selling dealers discretion.
